About Me

The person behind the work- my story, my process, and what brings me to the bench.

Artist Statement

Hi there, my name is Sarah. I’m an independent jeweller and university student from the ever-beautiful Lake District, currently specialising in modern yet timeless jewellery design. Each piece is bespoke, handcrafted in fine and sterling silver, with a focus on celebrating the natural beauty of the stones- particularly cabochons, which I occasionally fabricate myself!

I believe jewellery should enhance what nature has already perfected, creating pieces that feel both elegant and enduring. Through thoughtful (traditional) craftsmanship and timeless design, I hope to create jewellery that will be cherished for years to come.

My Process

I handcraft each piece using traditional silversmithing techniques alongside contemporary design. My work is deeply influenced by the raw, dramatic landscapes of Cumbria, the grit and grace of Edinburgh, and the resilience woven into my own family history.

I work with recycled silver, ethically sourced gemstones, and found textures that carry their own stories. Slow craftsmanship isn't a trend for me- it's a way of honoring the materials and the moments they represent.

Currently studying at the University of Edinburgh while building Celestial Silver from the ground up, I'm committed to keeping jewellery personal, political, and purposeful.

Whether it's a commission that holds a loved one's memory or a piece that helps you feel seen, I pour the same care into every order.
